L.A. Zoo Lights Ever wonder how the L.A. Zoo looks at nighttime? The L.A. Zoo offers a holiday light display walk-through during Christmastime and beyond. This family-friendly event is recommended for all ages as the entertainment and things-to-do appeals to everybody. There are dazzling lights that dance in the night, lights that pulsate along with music, hot cocoa and sweets, and adult beverages are available at the Golden Road pop-up shop.

L.A. Zoo Lights provides an electifying night out attainable with a family fare. It is a place where you can spend a couple of hours and more whether you use it as a date spot or a family get-together. The unique lighting displays offer plenty of photo opportunities and there are plenty of places available on the zoogrounds. Unlike some outdoor displays, since this event is at the zoo; there are plenty of physical restrooms and food kiosks along the route. That is a luxury that we often forget that is not available at many outdoor displays and attractions, especially since most holiday events are seasonal. Parking is also free and extremely plentiful.

Overall, we enjoyed the fact that this display is a “go-at-your-own” pace kind of attraction. The only timed attractions were the water and light show and photo-op with Santa Claus. All other displays ran continously throughout the night, which made it easy to plan and get through everything. And of course, what's neat is that this attraction runs pass New Year's Day!
